Mary Flanagan Obituary

Mary Catherine Flanagan, age 87, passed away Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at her residence.  She was born September 14, 1937, in Baltimore, Maryland to William James Flanagan and Agnes Smith Flanagan.  Mary was a member of House of St. Joseph the Workman in Fort Walton Beach, Florida.  In her spare time, she enjoyed reading and doing all sorts of crafts. Most of all she was known to be a prayer warrior.

Mary is survived by daughter, Lydia D. Frazier of Destin, Florida; daughter, Ann Whedon (Larry) of DeFuniak Springs, Florida; son, Brian Smith (Patricia) of Fort Walton Beach, Florida; son, William Paul Smith of Fort Walton Beach, Florida; son, David Smith (Michelle) of Santa Rosa Beach, Florida; sister, Eileen Flanagan of Prospect, Connecticut; seven grandchildren, Tabatha Lakkala, Dawn Frazier, James Whedon, Christopher Smith, Tiffany Ozuna, Sterling Smith, and Sierra Smith; eleven great grandchildren, Rachel and Emma Lakkala, Landon and Layton Whedon, Ambry and Alden Smith, and Kobe, Braylan, Eliana, Naylee and Olivia Ozuna; along with many other family and friends.

Funeral Mass will be held Monday, March 10, 2025 at St. Margaret of Scotland Catholic Church, 247 US 331, DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32435 beginnning at 11:00 a.m. with celebrant Reverend Richard Dawson.  A time of visitation will be held one hour prior.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Catholic Charities.
