Martha " Marfie" Gladys Marshall

Martha passed away peacefully in her home on January 18, 2023.  She was born at Eglin Air Force Base, right at midnight to Cecil and Delores Marshall. 

Martha captured everyone’s heart.  She loved her family, her friends and her church.  No matter when you saw her, she always had a smile for you.  Her love was unconditional. 

Martha graduated from Silver Sands and was a member of the ARC of the Emerald Coast, where she has made life long friends.  She never forgot your birthday, anniversary; any excuse she could use to celebrate.  She genuinely cared about others and every time you’d see Martha, she’d not just ask how you were, but your family as well.  If you were not feeling well, she’d have everyone hold hands and she’d pray.  Her “business card” reads “One Smart Cookie” and that she was.

Martha is survived by her mother, Delores Marshall; sister, Cindy (Jerome) Johnson of California; brother, Ron Marshall of Santa Rosa Beach; sister, Janie (Jack) Wasmer of Destin; nephew, Michael (Stacey) and their children, Shelby and Dylan of Fort Walton Beach, along with so many others she dearly loved. Martha was preceded in death by her father, Cecil Marshall and nephew, Ronald Allen. 

So many people played an important part in Martha’s life.  We especially want to thank April Gregory, Kari Harkins, Irene Collins, Earnestine Hawkins, Mike Whitley and so many others who were there for her throughout her life. 

A celebration of life will be held at the Chapel of the Cross, 100 Jonquil Avenue NW, Ft. Walton Beach, Florida 32548, Thursday, January 26, 2023, beginning at 2:00 p.m.
