January 27, 1941 - March 21, 2026

With deep sadness, we announce the passing of Martha Hoffmann, age 85, of Destin, Florida. Martha was a devoted wife and homemaker to Roger for 55 years. Born in Bluff City, Tennessee to parents Virgil and Tina Simerly, Martha grew up with six siblings, Parks Simerly, Jerry Simerly, Calvin Simerly, Leon Simerly, Thelma Sellers and Juanita Meeks.

Retired from teaching Physical Education in Florida Public Schools and the Azores, Martha taught physical skills and challenged students to develop healthy habits.

A life rooted in Christian faith, Martha believed that the gift of family is truly a blessing. Family, friends, and neighbors were showered with her love of baking and home-made candy. Friends quickly became family if one received her hand-dipped candy or bread. Martha will be remembered for her care and compassion for others.

Interment will be at Glenwood Cemetery in Bristol, Tennessee on Monday, March 30, 2026 at 11:00 a.m.
