Margaret Laverne Thompson

Margaret Laverne Thompson, age 77, of Westville, Florida passed away Sunday, April 25, 2021 at Marianna Health and Rehabilitation Center.  She was born November 1, 1943 in Winter Haven, Florida to Howard Newton Moore and Ruth Mansfield Moore. Before retiring, she worked for over 30 years at Stone's Packing House in Chipley, Florida where she is loved and remembered by many friends in the community.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Margaret is survived by her husband, Buddy Thompson; son, Ricky Thompson and wife Mary; daughter, Tonya Gardner and husband Jeff; son, Chad Thompson and wife Carol; sister, Janice Moore Allison; ten grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and many special nieces and nephews.

A time of visitation will be held Wednesday, April 28, 2021 in the chapel of Davis-Watkins Funeral Home, 1474 State Highway 83 North, DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32433, from 6 until 8 p.m.  Graveside services will be held Thursday, April 29, 2021 at Campground Cemetery in Westville with Minister Paul Davis officiating.
