Margaret Lou Carter

Margaret Lou Carter, age 87, passed away peacefully January 18, 2026.  She was born December 22, 1938, in Richwood, West Virginia to Isaac and Lola Hedrick Johnson.  After graduating from high school, Margaret joined the United States Air Force where she worked in labor and delivery, a job she enjoyed immensely. We take comfort in believing that she was welcomed home with open arms, free from pain, worry, and the struggles she carried here.

She is preceded in death by her parents; one son, Kevin Carter; and a nephew, Jayson Johnson.

Margaret is survived by her daughter, Cindi Bickley; six grandchildren, Matthew Dennis (Clarissa), Shannon Carfield, Justin Carfield (Dani), Amber Carter, Andrea Carter, and Ariel Carter; eighteen great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and one brother, Jerry Johnson.  She will be greatly missed by many people who knew and loved her.
