Maggie Durham, a resident of DeFuniak Springs, Florida, transitioned to her heavenly home March 14, 2025, only a few months short of her 100th birthday. She was born September 3, 1925, in Andalusia, Alabama. Maggie loved attending church. Not a day would go by that she was not seen reading her daily word while enjoying a cup of coffee. In her spare time she enjoyed fishing. Maggie was known to always have a song on her heart and loved singing.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Ulysses Durham; two sons, Ulysses and Bobby Durham; and one daughter, Debbie Dixon.
Those left to mourn her passing: Lynda (Joe), Greg, David (Sharon), Brenda, Tanya, and Edward (Diana); grandchildren, Michele, Tanya, Bernard, Candia, Terrell, Tariq, Reginald, Terrance, Derrick, Jasmine, Willie, Robert, Akeem, Sharikra, Tashara, Keibra, Keisha, Alex, Isaiah, Jaleeha, Alexandria, and Kevin; a host of great grandchildren; numerous great-great grandchildren; and many cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be held Friday, March 28, 2025, beginning at 12:00 p.m., at Union Springs Missionary Baptist Church of DeFuniak Springs, Florida. A time of visitation will be held one hour before the service.
