Lyvonne McMillian

Mr. Lyvonne McMillian, age 81, went home to be with the Lord and reunited with his daughter on Sunday, November 17, 2024. He was born July 23, 1943, in DeFuniak Springs, Florida to John and A.V. McMillian. He was a Baptist by faith and a loyal member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother whom loved his family very much. Lyvonne was an electrician for over half of his life. He enjoyed farming, hunting, softball, and volleyball, which many years were spent playing on McMillian Hill. He also loved to play cards with friends and family, more specifically pinochle. He was a reliable and dependable friend whom was always willing to lend a hand to help anyone, but, most importantly, he enjoyed spending time with his children and granddaughters; riding the four- wheeler around and doing farm chores.

Lyvonne was preceded in death by his parents, John and A.V. McMillian; daughter, Lyvonnica McMillian Green; brothers, Thelton, Bobby, Quinn, Carvel, Jill, and Sidel McMillian; and sisters, Helen Adkinson and Bettie Kurtz.

Lyvonne is survived by his loving wife of fifty-two years, Judy McMillian; sons, Nick McMillian, Nathan McMillian, and Russell McMillian and wife, Haley; son-in-law, John Green; granddaughters, Jordan, Madison, Payton, Layla, Lynee, and Parker; brother, Phil McMillian; and sisters, Sandra Harper and Hattie Chapman.

A time of visitation will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 22, at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church, 1015 Pleasant Ridge Road, DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32435; a memorial service will follow at 3:00 p.m. with Minister Phil McMillian officiating.

Flower arrangements will be accepted at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church.
