Lidya Gisela Posas Licona, lovingly known as "Lila," passed away peacefully on December 5, 2024, at the age of 47. Born on July 7, 1977, in Puerto Cortés, Honduras, Lila brought joy and warmth to everyone she met throughout her life.
Lila's journey took her to Miami, Florida, where she lived for some time before ultimately settling in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. She built a life filled with love and cherished memories, always placing her family at the center of her heart. Her greatest accomplishment and source of pride were her two beloved children, Rosebella, 13, and Junior, 9, who will carry forward her legacy of love and resilience.
Lila’s generosity, extroverted spirit, and boundless compassion made her a treasured friend to many. Her contagious laugh could light up any room, and her love for cooking brought people together in celebration and comfort. She embodied the true spirit of kindness and hospitality, touching the lives of all who knew her.
Lila was a devout Christian whose faith guided her life. She is survived by her children, Rosebella and Junior; her loving fiancé, Joe; her devoted sister, Karla; and a community of friends and family who will forever cherish her memory.
A visitation will take place on Saturday, December 14, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at Davis Watkins Funeral Home followed by a funeral at 2:00 p.m. Family and friends are invited to gather and remember the beautiful soul who brought so much light into the world.
