Louisa Hetrick Demarsh

Louisa Hetrick Demarsh, age 79, passed away Saturday, November 4, 2023, at Chautauqua Springs Health Center in DeFuniak Springs, Florida. The youngest child of Howard and Margaret Craig, she was born November 21, 1943, in Youngstown, Ohio. Louisa was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who loved her Lord and Savior. She was proud of her service on the Mission Committee of First Baptist Church of Mossy Head. Her voice was often heard on her favorite radio station, WZEP. 

She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Marian Mihalo; brother, Richard Craig of Poland; and daughter, Patricia Crowell of Ellabell, Georgia.

Louisa is survived by one daughter, Melissa Hetrick; one son, Lloyd Demarsh, Jr. and wife, Melissa, whom helped build a horse ranch on Watson Road near Mossy Head; one brother, Roger Craig and wife, Louise of Columbia, South Carolina; six grandchildren, Rachel and husband, Anthony of Washington state, Ricky, Jr. and wife Victoria of Georgia, Rebecca of Georgia, and Howard, Bryce and Brody whom all reside at Demarsh Ranch; special friends, Pat Cebalero, Irmalee Bass, Nita Hill, Jane Miller, Faye Stewart, Dominic Brigitte, and Debbie Wallace; and many nieces and nephews.

Louisa and her family extend a special thank you to Gentiva Hospice for their wonderful care.

A memorial service will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 8, 2023, in the chapel of Davis-Watkins Funeral Home, 1474 State Highway 83 North, DeFuniak Springs, Florida.
