Louis Dexter Robinson (Bugg) was called to be with his Lord and Savior on May 24, 2026. Louis was born on October 13, 1973, at Shaw Air Force Base in Sumter, South Carolina. His father, Louis Lee Robinson, was in the US Air Force for twenty-three years and this allowed his son, Louis Dexter, to live all over the country as well as a few locations overseas; making friends all along the way until settling down in Fort Walton Beach when his father retired from the military.
Growing up and even into adulthood, Louis loved sports. He played football as much as he could; from Pop Warner football in Germany all the way to playing at Choctawhatchee High School in Fort Walton Beach where he graduated in 1992, as well as playing in several Semi-Pro football leagues after high school. He also enjoyed softball, golf, basketball, and bowling. He was a dedicated Los Angeles Lakers, Chicago Cubs, Michigan Wolverines, Manny Pacquiao fan; and, of course, the #1, biggest Washington Redskins fan.
Everyone knew Louis also treasured his Nissan Titans, having had the opportunity to own three over the last twenty years. He had an infectious smile and loved everyone. Louis was a skilled cook on the grill and it brought him so much joy to be able to cook for others. He would have a barbecue with family and friends every weekend if he could.
He had various jobs throughout the area: from Stanley Communications to Sams, UPS, ESC, etc. In 2006, he was able to start his own business, Robinson’s Landscape and Irrigation, and was able to keep that going for a little over ten years, until his health started to decline.
Even with all of his medical struggles, he managed to keep his faith strong and his spirits high. He treasured his daily bible studies and multiple conversations with God throughout his day. He loved spreading the Word to anyone that would listen. He cherished being able to call his sisters to have discussions about a scripture he read. He would often go to Marler Park to marvel at God’s wonders, the same sound side beach area his father, Louis Lee, would go to.
Louis was preceded in death by Louis Lee Robinson (father) in 2002, Patricia Ann Robinson (mother) in 2012, and Terrence Leevert Robinson (son) in 2013.
He is survived by Caroline Coles (wife), Breanna Robinson (daughter), and Jaden Coles (son). He is also survived by his three siblings: Pamela Karmo (fiancé, Jessie), Brenda (husband, Demetric) Upshaw, Felicia Robinson, and beloved God-sister, Ravadee On-Iam; and nieces and nephews: Destin Karmo, Tamara Spence, Tamaya Spence, Daquis Upshaw, Amaya (husband Amaris) Smith, Micah Upshaw, Beyonce Coleman, and Harrison On-Iam; with special recognition to the family matriarch: Mrs. Sallie Johnson (aunt). He also leaves many other cherished aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
