Lora Faye (Golden) Peacock

Lora Faye Peacock, of Santa Rosa Beach, Florida, passed away on Friday, January 3, 2025, at 84 years old. She was born June 22, 1940, to her parents, John William Golden and Audrey Maggie Bond Golden. 

Lora was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, as well as a teacher, both professionally and personally, brightening children's minds. Her daughters, Jill and Jana, were her two best friends. She enjoyed spending time with her granddaughter, Brooke, watching her mature and grow into a young lady. Brooke meant the world to her.

Her brothers, Jimmy and Johnny, and sister, Mary Ann, meant more to her than words could express. Lora loved and adored them immensely, and always said, "My family is so close and we love so deeply!" She will be very missed by all who knew her. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert Glenn Peacock; and brother, Jimmy Golden. Lora is survived by her daughters, Melissa Jill Holder (Dan) and Jana Michelle Herrin; her granddaughter, Brooke Golden Herrin; brother, Johnny Golden (Jan); and sister, Mary Ann Golden D'avy (Dane); sister-in-law, Betsy Golden; as well as nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to express their eternal gratitude to the staff of Emerald Coast Hospice for their loving care. They will continue to share a special place in the family's heart.
