Linda Juanita Crawford

Linda Juanita “Nita” Crawford, age 71, of DeFuniak Springs, Florida, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 10, 2025, in Destin, Florida. She was born on January 11, 1954, in Crestview, Florida, to Thurman Franklin and Annie Belle Ward Franklin. Nita was a beloved cook at Fannin's Restaurant for over fifteen years, where she found joy in serving others and building lasting relationships with both her coworkers and customers. Outside of work, she had a passion for thrifting and enjoyed hunting for unique finds at local stores. Known for her outgoing nature, Nita had the rare ability to make anyone feel like an old friend, never meeting a stranger. Above all, Nita was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She cherished her family and held them close to her heart. Her warmth, kindness, and sweet smile will be dearly missed by all whom knew her.

Nita was preceded in death by her mother; her daughter, Diane Bowen; her sister, Barbara Wallman; and her brothers, Ronnie and Barnett Franklin.

She is survived by her husband, Todd Crawford; her daughter, Stephanie Haskin (Chris); her four grandchildren, Brittany Spires, Brett Spires, Camden Butts, and Langston Haskin; her sister, Carolyn Hulion (Leon); her brother, Marvin Franklin (Paulette); as well as many extended family members, friends, and loved ones whom will miss her dearly.

A time of visitation will be held Monday, March 17, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., at Davis-Watkins Funeral Home, 1474 State Highway 83 North, DeFuniak Springs, Florida. A memorial service will begin at 6:00 p.m. in the chapel.
