Lincoln Goodwin Shaw, Jr.

Lincoln Goodwin Shaw, Jr. of DeFuniak Springs, Florida, passed away peacefully at the HCA Florida West Hospital in Pensacola, Florida June 4, 2022, after a brief illness. He was the son of Lincoln Goodwin Shaw, Sr. and Edna Paula Schadt Shaw. Lincoln was born August 29, 1945 in Miami, Florida and grew up in Auburn, Massachusetts. He graduated from Worcester Academy in 1963 where he competed on the golf, hockey, and wrestling teams. Attending UMass Amherst, Lincoln joined the Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity and earned his degree in Chemistry in 1968. “Linc” was a Corvette fan (he owned three of them in his lifetime). He loved NASCAR, the Red Sox, and the Bruins. He also enjoyed gardening, Dunkin’ coffee, and was an avid, six-handicap lefty-golfer.

Lincoln is survived by his son, Andrew Shaw of Wake Forest, North Carolina; his brother, Frank Shaw of Branford, Connecticut; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends on Cape Cod and elsewhere. 

A family memorial service is planned for the fall on Cape Cod. Donations in his memory may be made to The American Cancer Society.
