Lena Faye Hurst

Lena Faye Ward Hurst, age 85, passed away January 26, 2025, in Crestview, Florida.  She was born March 3, 1939, in Ponce de Leon, Florida to Carl and Adeline Ward.  At the time of her passing she resided with her daughter Brenda and son-in-law Keith Stanley of Baker, Florida. Lena had a very kind, friendly personality and was a hard worker.  In her spare time, she enjoyed fishing and gardening, where she grew some of the most beautiful flowers. She will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Lena is preceded in death by her husband, Quin Hurst; two sons, Ricky and Jimmy Brown; parents, Carl and Adeline Ward; six siblings, Hubert Ward, Clinton Ward, Lamar Ward, Auburn Ward, Winona Ammons, and Melrene McCormick.

She is survived by her daughter Brenda Stanley (Keith) of Baker; son, David Hurst of Crestview; two grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.

A memorial service will be held this Saturday, February 8, 2025, at Pleasant Valley Church, Highway 181 Ponce de Leon, Florida beginning at 11:00 a.m.
