Laurence Henry Krause, Jr.

Laurence H. Krause, Jr, (Bud), age 76, of Ft. Walton Beach, FL, passed away Thursday, August 30, 2018 surrounded by his family.  He was born on August 4, 1942 in East St. Louis, IL, to Sarah Jane Krause, Laurence H. Krause, Sr.  On June 23, 1984, he married the love of his life, Carolina Krause.  He was a decorated veteran who served in the US, Vietnam, England and Japan.  He retired from the US Air Force in 1985.  He enjoyed playing Pinochle, Cribbage, Chess and singing Karaoke.   He was active in Toastmasters, Elks, Moose, and the VFW.

He is survived by his wife, Carolina Jesus Krause, of Fort Walton Beach; son, Lawrence Krause, III, of New Mexico; sister, Linda Krause McComb of Kansas; brother, Kenneth Krause and wife,  Bonnie, of Kentucky; half brother, Jeff Higgenson of Michigan; 2 granddaughters, 5 great-grandchildren, 3 nephews, as well as aunt, uncles and cousins.

A memorial service will be held at Davis-Watkins Funeral Home, 113 NE Racetrack Road, Fort Walton Beach, FL 32547, on Friday, September 7, 2018 at 9:30 am.  Committal services will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery with full military honors at 12:30 pm.
