Larry John Patrick McCallister

Larry John-Patrick McCallister, age 51, passed away unexpectedly on October 31, 2024 in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida. He was a beloved father, husband, son and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Larry was born on March 4, 1973 in Jacksonville, FL. He spent his formative years in south Florida. He went on to study at Bethel Bible Institute in New York City. Larry was a general contractor for LJB Restoration Services, a company he and his wife grew to become successful and respected in the construction industry. He was a man of great integrity known for his hard work, dedication and passion for helping others.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Larry was a devoted family man, who loved his wife and children above all else. He was a beloved husband to Lyra and a devoted father to Ava, Liam, and Levi. He was always there to offer guidance, support and encouragement, no matter what challenges they faced.

In his free time, Larry enjoyed boating, fishing and training in jiu-jitsu. He always cherished his time on the water with friends and family. He was an avid trainer in Brazilian jiu-jitsu where he received his black belt and was always eager to share his knowledge of the sport with others.

He was preceded in death by his father, Larry Orville McCallister.

He is survived by his wife, Lyra; his three children, Ava, Liam and Levi; his mother, Georgia McCallister; his brother, Josh McCallister (Jill); his sister, Regina Clark (Roy); stepfather, William Beal; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Larry’s kind heart, zest for life and unwavering love for his family and friends will be remembered by all who knew him.
