Larry Jay Hudson, Jr., age 50, of Ponce de Leon, Florida passed away Thursday, February 4, 2021 at Sacred Heart Hospital of the Emerald Coast. He was born October 16, 1970, the eldest of three children in Tampa, Florida.
"A time to grow."
Larry was raised in DeFuniak Springs, Florida in a Christian home. He graduated from Walton High School in 1989 and enlisted in the United States Army from 1990-1992, fighting in the Gulf War. He later met and married Jami Crowningshield.
"A time to depart."
After fighting a good fight, he entered his rest in the arms of the Lord.
"A time to cherish."
Larry will always be remembered by his smile. He leaves to mourn, his wife, Jamie; two sons Denny Sutton and Jayce Hudson; one daughter, Isabella Rose Hudson; his parents, Larry Hudson, Sr., Rose Caldwell and Leroy Caldwell; siblings, Alicia Hudson, Larissa Hudson, Donnial Hudson and Pamela Abengowe; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
A time of visitation will be held Friday, February 12, 2021 in the chapel of Davis-Watkins Funeral Home, 1474 State Highway 83 North, DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32433, from 2 until 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 13, 2021 in the chapel of Davis-Watkins Funeral Home beginning at 2 p.m.
