Larry Lee Hill Sr., age 68, of Mary Esther, Florida passed away at his daughter’s home in Fort Walton Beach, Florida Sunday, April 17, 2022. He was born in Jacksonville, Florida on August 21,1953 and lived there with his parents, Eugene and Lois Hill and his three siblings until he left for the United States Air Force. Larry was married to the love of his life, Kong Hill, December 8, 1975 in Thailand where they met while he was serving as a K-9 Handler for the United States Air Force. He served 20 years with tours in Thailand, Germany, and at his final base of Hurlburt Field, Florida. Larry’s hobbies included loving his wife, talking about his wife, and taking care of his wife. He also was an avid movie collector.
He is survived by his children, Larry Lee Jr. of Denton, Texas and Cynthia Ann Smith (Hill), of Ft Walton Beach, Florida; his siblings, Cindy-Green (Hill) and husband, Tony Green of Jacksonville, Florida, and Craig Hill and Tonya of Ft. Myers, Florida; nephew, Michael Hill; nieces, Kelly and spouse, Doug Gilmore (Hill), Tina Sumner and spouse, Krista; his beloved dogs, Drake and Bruno.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lois June Hill, September 1995, and Eugene Marion Hill, June 2011; spouse, Kong Hill, June 2015; and brother, Gene Hill, January 1993.
A memorial service will be held, Friday, April 29, 2022, beginning at 12:30 P.M., at Davis-Watkins Funeral Home, 113 NE Racetrack Road, Ft. Walton Beach, Florida 32547. His children will be taking him to Thailand to be reunited with his wife so they may rest in peace together. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for donations to be made in Larry’s name at the Thai Temple Wat Mongkolratanaram, 741 Mayflower Avenue, Ft.
