Larry DeShazo Obituary

Larry James DeShazo, age 70, of DeFuniak Springs, Florida passed away Tuesday, January 21, 2020. He was born August 8, 1949 in Niceville, Florida to Huey and Clara Benmon DeShazo. Larry was the owner and operator, since 1989, of Acme Pest Control in DeFuniak. At the early age of eight, he eagerly entered the work force selling greeting cards and the Grit newspaper to earn money. Larry enjoyed watching professional football in his spare time.

He is preceded in death by his parents and mother-in-law, Maxine Vines.

Larry is survived by his wife of 43 years, Cheryl DeShazo; one son, Myles DeShazo of DeFuniak Springs, Florida; two sisters, Kathy Swym and husband Paul and Dr. Diana Haselman and husband Bob both of Arkansas; and two brothers, Buddy DeShazo of Ft. Walton Beach, Florida and Gary DeShazo of Pensacola, Florida.

Larry’s request was cremation with no service.
