Lanita Karle Willoughby

Mrs Lanita D. Willoughby went to be with her Lord and Savior on the evening of July 2, 2025. She was a resident of Navarre, Florida since the passing of her husband. She was born July 23, 1942 in Columbia, South Carolina to Charles Roy Karle and Mary Delores Joyner. 

She is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Wiley F. Willoughby; her mother, Delores Karle.

She is survived by her sister, Brenda Stiver, of Paris, Mississippi; two sons, Wiley M. Willoughby (Angelique) of DeFuniak Springs, Florida and Mark D. Willoughby (Janice) of Navarre, Florida; four grandchildren, Alyssa, Amanda, Nicole and Heather; four great grandchildren, Colton, Emmett, Austin, and Gabriel. 

A time of visitation will be held at Davis Watkins funeral home in DeFuniak Springs on Tuesday evening, July 8, 2025. Graveside services will be held Thursday, July 10, 2025 at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Wilmington, North Carolina beginning at 11:30 a.m. with Minister Joel Davis officiating.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in her name to Tunnels to Towers.

Arrangements and services are under the direction of Davis-Watkins Funeral Home of DeFuniak Springs.
