Kitty Norma Trexler (Smith), 76, of Crestview, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 1, 2026.
Born on November 17, 1949, in Jacksonville, Kitty was the beloved daughter of Corbett Clinton Smith Sr. and Norma Smith (Waitts). She graduated from Carl Hayden High School in Phoenix. Throughout her life, Kitty lived in Garden City, Pensacola, Phoenix and Rialto before making Crestview her home.
On June 20, 1971, Kitty married the love of her life, Robert Trexler. Together they built a life centered on faith, family, and devotion. Kitty was a longtime parishioner of Our Savior Lutheran Church, where she faithfully served for many years as the church secretary. Her dedication to her church family reflected her generous spirit and steadfast faith.
Kitty found great joy in reading Little House on the Prairie and watching the beloved television series, cherishing the timeless stories of family, perseverance, and love.
She is survived by her sons, Michael Trexler and his wife Melanie, and Clinton Trexler. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Vincent Trexler and his wife Chessica, Steven Trexler, Gavin Trexler, Zachary Trexler, and Joshua Trexler. Kitty is further survived by her brother, Richard Smith, and her sister, Nancy Smith.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert Trexler; Her parents Corbett Clinton SR. and Norma Smith; her sister, Sylvia; and her brother, Corbett “JR.”
Kitty will be remembered for her unwavering faith, her love of family, and the quiet strength and kindness she shared with everyone who knew her. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of her family and friends, who will miss her dearly.
Funeral services for the newly departed servant of God, Kitty Trexler, will be held at a later date. The family will announce when the faithful may gather to offer prayers for the repose of her soul and her blessed memory.
