Kimberly Kay McQuaig, age 55, passed away, Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at her residence surrounded by loved ones. She was born February 7, 1971, in Palatka, Florida. After school, Kimberly went on to do social work for the state of Florida. When not working she enjoyed working in her yard with flowers, driving the pontoon boat, fishing, and keeping the Amazon truck running the roads. She loved spending time doing charity work for children around the holidays. Most of all she cherished time spent with family, especially doing craft activities with her grandchildren.
Kimberly is preceded in death by her father, Douglas Watson; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Murray and Annie McQuaig.
She is survived by her loving husband, Mark McQuaig, two children, Daniel Perez (Caroline) and Douglas Perez (Amanda); seven grandchildren, Hunter Perez, Kiley Perez, Beau Perez, Lane Perez, Blake Perez, Bindi Perez, and Benton Perez; mother, Carol Watson; six siblings, James Odom, Wayne Odom, Toy Ganey, Anthony Odom, Deanna Smith, and Molly Moss; brother-in -law, Chris McQuaig; and two sisters-in-law, Vickie Eddins and Kathy McQuaig; along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be held Monday, July 13, 2026, in the chapel of Davis-Watkins Funeral Home, 1474 State Highway 83 North, DeFuniak Springs, Florida beginning at 10:00 a.m. with Minister Joel Davis officiating. A time of visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Committal services will follow at Paxton Cemetery.
