Kenneth Carter Obituary

Kenny Carter passed away in the early evening hours of Monday, April 24, 2023, with his beloved wife, Janet by his side. Kenny was born at Twenty Nine Palms Marine Corps Base, California on April 3, 1959, the fourth child of Kenneth C. Carter and Patricia A. Carter, eventually ranking the fourth of nine siblings! Kenny was a lighthearted, loving, and generous person with a spirit of resilience matched by no other. He and Janet were partnered and married for twenty-eight years! His life with Janet was happy, filled with years of hard work in the steel framing and drywall construction industry. They shared many adventures together on his Harley Davidson.

Together, Kenny and Janet built their own little dwelling place here in paradise, where Janet continues to reside. Kenny was predeceased by his mother and father; and brother, Larry.

He is survived by his wife, Janet Rogers of Navarre, Florida; his children from an earlier marriage, daughter, Elaine Beckley of California; son, Jeffery Carter of Georgia; and siblings, Laurie Fikes (Buck) of Maumelle, Arkansas, Debbie Kern of Shalimar, Florida, Donnie Carter of New Orleans, Louisiana, Karen Witte (John) of Pantego, Texas, Mike Carter (Tammy) of Flatwoods, Kentucky, Kevin Carter of Nyack, New York, and Kevin’s twin, Kathy Montgomery (Chris) of Granberry, Texas; as well as grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

A private celebration of life will be held at a date to be determined with family and a few close friends whom will share many humorous stories about just how well and full Kenny lived his life!

Friends and family have shared their relationship to show their support.
