Keith Shull Obituary

Keith William Shull, 73, of Westville, Florida, passed away at his home on July 14, 2026. Keith was born on August 16, 1952, in Toledo, Ohio, to William Stephen Shull and Marjorie Annabella Shull, who preceded him in death. Throughout his life, he called several places home, including Ohio, New Mexico, Texas, and ultimately Westville, Florida. He graduated from the Marine Military Academy in Arlington, Texas, and proudly served in the United States Marine Corps. Keith later worked as a counselor, where his favorite part of his career was helping children. He also enjoyed coaching youth football and found great joy in encouraging young people. Keith was married to Kathy Stafford Shull for 51 years. Together, they built a life centered on family and shared many years of love, memories, and devotion.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy Shull; his children, Kevin Shull and his fiancée, Meredith Lee, of Westville, Florida; Krystal Gainous and her husband, Adam, of Thomasville, Georgia; and Kyle Shull and his wife, Amanda, of Westville, Florida.

Keith was a proud and loving grandfather to Mark Shull, Rhaestyn Shull, Annabella Gainous, Vaughn Gainous, Kynslie Shull, Raylan Shull, Klaire Shull, and Barrett Shull. He had a special nickname for each of his grandchildren and made each one feel uniquely loved.

He is also survived by his sister, Shonnah Darling of Texas, and several beloved nieces and nephews who held a special place in his heart, along with many extended family members and dear friends who will cherish his memory.

While Keith was proud of his military service and the work he did throughout his life, his greatest accomplishment was the family he loved so deeply and the legacy he leaves behind in each of them.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Hickory Hill Baptist Church Building Fund.

A celebration of life will be held Sunday, July 19, 2026 at Hickory Hill Baptist Church, 1656 Hickory Hill Road, Westville, Florida 32464 beginning at 4:00 p.m. with Pastor Stacy Stafford officiating.  Military honors will be provided by the United States Marine Corps.
