Kathy Gail Curry

Kathy Gail Curry, age 69, of Ponce de Leon, Florida, passed away on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at Shands Hospital in Gainesville, Florida. She was born on September 12, 1955, in DeFuniak Springs, Florida, to Lloyd Junior Williams and Mary Alice Sasnett Gillis. Kathy was a loving, caring wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend who touched the lives of everyone she met. She was known for her outgoing nature and her willingness to lend a helping hand, even on her most difficult days. Her kindness and generosity knew no bounds, and she had an incredible ability to make those around her feel loved and cherished.

Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd Junior Williams and Mary Gillis, as well as her sister, Murl Simmons.

She is survived by her devoted husband, William “Sonny” Curry; her son, Robert Curry; her daughter, Chrystal Johnson and her husband Brian; her beloved grandchildren, Hunter, Zach, Jenny, and Sage; her brother, James Williams and his wife Donna; three sisters, Pat Bailey and her husband Elbert, Margaret Birge and her husband Mike, Connie Nobles and husband Terry; and many nieces, nephews, friends, and loved ones.

Kathy was a loving soul who will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her kind heart and unwavering support for her family and friends will never be forgotten.

A time of visitation will be held Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at Davis-Watkins Funeral Home of Bonifay, 406 US Highway 90 West, Bonifay, Florida 32425, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.  Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 13, 2025 in the chapel of Davis-Watkins Funeral Home of Bonifay beginning at 10:00 a.m. with Minister David Davis officiating.  Committal services will follow at Old Mt. Zion Cemetery. 

Those serving as pallbearers will be Brian, Walter, Bebo, TJ, Wayne, and Marshall.
