Julia Elizabeth Anderson Goodman, 99, passed away peacefully on October 21, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born to Ezekiel and Julia Anderson on Saturday, June 12, 1926, in Walton County, Florida, and was the last surviving child of the Anderson family. She lived a long and meaningful life rooted in faith family. Julia was a devoted mother and homemaker who found her greatest joy in caring for her family and serving others. She was a faithful member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, where she worshiped and served with humility and grace. Known for her contagious energy, warmth, and steady spirit, she touched many lives with kindness that will not be forgotten.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her 13 siblings, and two of her beloved children.
She leaves behind a host of children — Hattie Carswell (Sherick), Ralph Goodman, Johnny Goodman (Genora), Clifton Goodman, Laquita Hall, Dennis Lee Goodman Jr (Sylinda), James Goodman ( Lora), and Delton Goodman (Rachel) — along with grandchildren, greatgrandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and extended loved ones who will continue to carry her legacy of love and faith. Though she is no longer with us in body, the lessons she taught and the love she poured freely into others will live on for generations.
