Joyce Elaine Ratliff

Joyce Elaine Ratliff, 68, of DeFuniak Springs, Florida, passed away Wednesday, June 22, 2022. She was born September 17, 1953, to Virgil Ray and Gladys Hargett. Joyce enjoyed working in her yard and in her home. She also enjoyed traveling with her husband in her younger days. She had a gift for crafting, and an eye for decorating. She could make something beautiful out of anything she touched. Joyce loved her dogs and considered them a part of the family. She always looked forward to a big Christmas with her precious grandchildren every year. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, Virgil Ray and Gladys Brock Hargett, and two sisters.

Joyce is survived by her husband, Gary Linville Ratliff; two sons, Wayne Garrett and wife Julie, Robert Garrett and wife Nina; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Monday, June 27, 2022, beginning at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Davis-Watkins Funeral Home, 1474 State Highway 83 North, DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32433.  A time of visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Committal services will follow at Magnolia Cemetery, DeFuniak Springs.
