John "Mikey" Michael McAdams

John Michael McAdams “Mikey”, age 39, of Panama City, Florida passed away in Palatka, Florida while working. He was born September 26, 1985, in Milton, Florida to James Gilford McAdams, Jr. and Elisa Gail Roberts. Mikey was the light in many people’s lives and loved and was loved by so many. He was so happy about being a truck driver, and if he was not doing that he loved fishing and playing his playstation. He adored being with his family.

Mikey is preceded in death by his father, James Gilford McAdams, Jr. of DeFuniak Springs, Florida; six uncles, William McAdams, Cleveland McAdams, Charlie McAdams, Ricky McAdams, Billy Rae Roberts, and Lonnie Wayne Roberts; two very special aunts, Charlene Roberts and Betty Faye Roberts; grandparents, John James Roberts and Mavis Lorene Roberts; aunts, Linda Joyce Seley, Sheila Lewis, and Dallas McAdams; and two cousins, Aaron McAdams, and Melinda Roberts.

Mikey is survived by his wife, Janie Lynn McAdams of Panama City, Florida; seven children, John Michael McAdams, Jr., Jaymee Elizabeth Smith (Robert Smith), Levi Alexander McAdams, Zayden James McAdams, Savannah Rae McAdams, Stephy Lorene McAdams, and Johnny Blayne McAdams; grandson, Jackson Augustus Smith; granddaughter, Rosalie Elizabeth Smith; mother, Elisa Gail Deming (Michael Lynn Deming) of Alford, Florida; grandmother, Peggy Ann McAdams; two sisters, Crystal Lorene Barthlemess (Brad Barthlemess) of Geneva, Alabama and Pamela Smith of Geneva, Alabama; stepbrother, Erik Deming; stepsister, Dawna Murkeson; very special mother and father-in-law, Lorie Siler and Danny Siler; three uncles, Johnny Mack Roberts (Tracy) of DeFuniak Springs, Florida, Neal Roberts of DeFuniak Springs, Florida, and Jessie McAdams of Ponce de Leon, Florida; two aunts, Linda McAdams of Geneva, Alabama and Patricia McAdams of Geneva, Alabama; seven special cousins, Johnny Ray Roberts, Pamela Roberts, Leila McAdams, Tiffany McAdams, Amanda Henderson, Melinda Roberts, and Laura McAdams; sixteen nieces and nephews, Haley Curry of Geneva, Alabama, Brittany, Trista, Colby, Seth Barthlemess all of Geneva, Alabama, Ka’liah Sconiers of Geneva, Alabama, Kaisley Jones of Geneva, Alabama, Ashton Walker of Panama City, Florida, Brison Pearman of Panama City, Florida, Carter Tripp of Panama City, Florida, Lorieann and Sklar Gaydosh of DeFuniak Springs, Florida, Lauren and Kaleb Howell of DeFuniak Springs, Florida, and Audrina and Justin Siler of Panama City, Florida; along with many other loved ones.

Funeral services will be held Monday, July 28, 2025 in the chapel of Davis-Watkins Funeral Home, 1474 State Highway 83 North, DeFuniak Springs, Florida beginning at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor David Williford officiating. A time of visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Committal services will follow at Alaqua Cemetery.
