John Wayne Law, age 69, of Ponce de Leon, Florida passed away Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at his residence. He was born September 12, 1951 in Troy, Alabama to the late Noble and Lucille Redmon Law. In his younger years, John served in the Air Force Reserves and later the National Guard. He was employed as a timber buyer with International Paper Company until retirement. The company not only provided financial security but also, he met a girl employed there named Sue, which he married in 1977. Supporting the Alabama Crimson Tide Football Team and hunting the local woods, two things he genuinely enjoyed in his free time. John’s grandchildren were his pride and joy.
He is preceded in death by one brother, Kenneth Law.
John is survived by his loving wife of forty-three years, Sue Law; one daughter, Connie Brown and husband Vince of Ponce de Leon, Florida; three grandchildren, Kody Brown and wife Heather, Braidon Brown, and Hannah Brown; one great-grandchild, Parker Brown; two brothers, William Law of Andalusia, Alabama and Jimmy Law and wife Dale of Troy, Alabama; one sister, Lois Ray of Ft. Walton Beach, Florida; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In keeping with his wishes, John will be cremated with no services.
