Joan L. Abrams

Joan L. Abrams, age 83, passed away August 27, 2025.  She was born October 29, 1941, to the late George Little and Ruby (Atkins) Little. Joan loved gardening, fishing, thrift shopping, gambling and above all, she loved her family.  Joan gained a whole new family in our cul-de-sac that she built lasting and loving friendships with.  

She is preceded in death by her parents; two children, William Patterson Stong III and Debbie Stong; two grandchildren, Robert Brandon Brady and Scotty Lee Stong; five siblings, Bert, Nell, Betty Jo, Mary Alice, and Larry Mack.

Joan is survived by her daughter, Mary Ann Mashburn; one brother, George Wayne Little; four grandchildren, Dwayne Lee Stong, Terry Lee Brady, Crystal Leigh Brady, and Clifford Eugene Brady IV; four great grandchildren, Logan Walker Brady, Mason Brice Peterson, Lavender Leigh Brady, and Griffen Dwayne Stong; a very special niece, Christine Eversole; special nephew, Kenneth Duncan; dear friend, Johnny Howell; along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

A special thank you to Bob and Kellee Card, Elinor Sullivan, and Lee McManus for the loving care you gave her. Thank you to Terry and Cliff for all the loving, gentle care and patience with your G-Ma.  Thank you to all of those who spent quality time with her, she appreciated every moment.

Joan touched a lot of lives in her life, so I hope when you think of her it makes you smile.

I love you Momma and will miss you terribly. Until we meet again.
