It is with sad hearts that our family announces the passing of Jeff McDonald; beloved father, brother, nephew, cousin and friend. He left us on July 28, 2025, after a short illness. Jeff was born August 18, 1958, in Decatur, Alabama, where he lived until attending and graduating from Jacksonville State University in 1980.

He called Destin, Florida home the last forty-two years, where he loved living close to the beach. His charismatic personality made him a natural salesman. He worked in sales for most of his career and most recently was affiliated with Medley Printing.

Outside of work, he enjoyed the beach lifestyle, cooking out with his many friends and neighbors, woodworking, and tinkering with old cars. In the last few years, he began cycling and enjoyed working on his bicycles. Jeff had many friends whom he enjoyed spending time with, but he especially cherished time spent with his son, Seth.

Jeff was preceded in death by his parents, Elton and Nell McDonald. He is survived by his son, Seth McDonald; sisters, Carol Powell (Philip) and Joye Musselman (Tom); and brother, Brandon McDonald (Kimberly); his uncle and aunt, Max and Margaret McDonald, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins, all of whom will miss him very much.

A memorial service for Jeff will be held at Safe Harbor Presbyterian Church in Destin on Friday, August 22, 2025, with visitation for family and close friends only at 1:00 p.m., and the service for everyone to follow at 2:00 p.m.
