Jeffrey Olin Kiess

Jeffrey Olin Kiess, passed away unexpectedly at home on December 14, 2024 at the age of 68, in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida. He was born on September 9, 1956 in Angola, Indiana to Joe Kiess and Marjorie Dunham Kiess. He graduated from Angola High School in 1975.

Jeff retired as a SMSGT from the United States Air Force after twenty years of service and then went into the HVAC field, eventually starting his own company in Santa Rosa Beach, FL. He was passionate about fishing, boating, exercising and spending time with his family. Jeff is survived by his wife, Janet; his son, Dylan and his wife, Allie; his grandchildren, Mary Collins and Harrison; his mother, Marjorie Aguair; his step-mother Elba Kiess; his brother, Alan Kiess and sister, Susan Kenney. He was preceded in death by his dad, Joe Kiess.

Jeff was known for his outgoing nature, hard work ethic and love for his family. He found joy in being on the water and especially being around his wife, son and grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Friday, December 20, 2024, at The Chapel of 30A, 61 Topsail Village Dr, Santa Rosa Beach, Florida beginning at 2:00 p.m. A time of visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. The committal service will follow at the Gulf Cemetery. All are welcome to attend the services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a veteran’s charity of your choosing.

Jeff’s legacy of kindness and love will live on in all who knew him. He will be deeply missed, but forever remembered.
