Jason Paul Worthen, was born October 12, 1977, in Misawa, Aomori Prefecture, Japan, to David Randall Worthen and Yueh Li Worthen, his father and mother. Jason was spirited away from us on May 13, 2022, peacefully at home in Navarre, Florida.
Even before graduating from Ft. Walton Beach High School, Jason found his passion in car audio installation, first installing his own audio system in his own car and then working for local shops. Learning everything he could to improve his work, eventually Jason opened up his own shop called Superior Sounds in Ft. Walton Beach. Having a good go at it for a few years until Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm came about, forcing him to close up shop. As anyone knows, that didn't stop Jason for long because he bounced back by going back to work for his competition until he ended up working in Destin, Florida for Emerald Coast Customs. So, when you hear those cars with the booming bass systems, that is probably his handy work. Jason always loved exotic cars and loud music, which is why he always went to Las Vegas for the yearly Consumer Electronic Show.
Although he never married nor had children, Jason had many loves in his life and was loved by many.
Jason is survived by his strong mother, Yueh Li Worthen; his amazing father, David Randall Worthen; his sister, Judy Gibbs and her husband, John Gibbs and their children; niece, Trevella Francis Gibbs; nephew, Lucas Gibbs; Jason's older brother, Steven Jeffrey Worthen and his brother from another mother, Danny Howard and his wife, Irene Howard and family. Jason is also survived by his many aunts, uncles, and cousins from the Worthen clan; aunt Barbara, uncle Mark, cousin Marcy and her husband, Paul along with all the other Worthen family, also the many friends Jason has come to know and considered his extended family.
