Janice Elaine Forbes

Janice “Jan” Forbes, 70, of Baker, Florida, passed away peacefully on October 21, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on July 1, 1955, in Auburndale, Florida, to Jack and Hazel Forbes, Jan grew into a woman whose kindness and compassion touched every life she encountered.

Jan was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She took immense pride in her family, finding her greatest joy in their laughter and togetherness. Known for her nurturing spirit and generous heart, Jan never met a stranger—her warmth could light up any room, and her laughter was both contagious and comforting.

In her free time, Jan could often be found curled up with a good book or cheering on her beloved Auburn Tigers. Her enthusiasm for life and unwavering loyalty to those she loved will forever be remembered.

Jan is preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Hazel Forbes; a brother; and four sisters. She is survived by her loving children, Patty, Nikki, Wesley, Michael, and Joseph; her sister, Helen; thirteen, cherished grandchildren; and one adored great-grandson.

Jan’s life was a testament to love, faith, and family. Though she will be deeply missed, her memory will continue to inspire and comfort all who were blessed to know her
