James Michael Comeau, age 65, known affectionately as Jimmy, Jimbo, and Bo, passed away suddenly on June 23, 2026. He was a resident of Santa Rosa Beach, Florida.
He was born on July 7, 1960 in Boston, Massachusetts and was the son of the late James P. Comeau and Jean M. (Fitzgerald) Comeau. He left the Boston area in 1993 and moved to Florida.
On December 2, 1995, he married Lisa at the Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort in Miramar Beach, Florida. They lived in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida for the last 30 years.
For the past 16 years, he worked at Cartercraft Roofing and Creative Custom Sheet Metal, in Freeport, Florida where he truly loved his job and his work family.
He enjoyed playing golf, listening to music of every genre, laughing, and bringing laughter to others with his many jokes.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Lisa; his mother-in-law, Phyllis Tedesco; his brothers-in-law, Gregg Brown (Gayle) and Scott Brown; and his sisters, Donna Bunnell (Ted), Lynne Bunnell (Tom) and Jeanne Martin (Greg).
He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, along with many close friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
