James Ernest West

James Ernest West Jr., age 72, of Ft. Walton Beach, FL. passed away Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at Ft. Walton Beach Medical Center.  James was born April 24, 1948 in Gainesville, FL to Clara Mae Caldwell and James Ernest West Sr. 

James drove a bread route for most of his life.  He was the most selfless person who's only wish was to provide for his wife and eight children.  Jim enjoyed fishing and watching football (mainly Florida gators). He was a simple person, when he wasn't working he was always reading his bible or making someone laugh. He will be remembered for his generous, kind, loving, giving heart and his gentle words, who uplifted everyone around him and always had a smile on his face.  He spent his life serving the Lord and his faith was unwavering.  He will forever be missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Carla Yvonne West; children, Andrew James West; Rachel Michelle West, Shawna Danette West, Kimberly Dawn Lassiter, Carla Evette Lassiter, Jeffrey Lee Lassiter, Jerry Shayne Lassiter, William Paul Lassiter; brother, Randy West and wife, Stephanie West; seventeen grandchildren; three great grandchildren, a niece and nephew. 

James was a devout Christian and attended Revealed Word Tabernacle in Mobile, Alabama. May he rest in peace and be in pain no more.
