James Thaddeus Rogers, Jr., age 77, passed away Monday, October 21, 2019 in Niceville, Florida. He was born February 21, 1942, to James and Bertice Rogers, the second child of six children. Over his years of employment, he had worked with the City of Niceville, Louisiana Pacific Lumber Company, and Kelly’s IGA Grocery Store.
James is survived by one son, James William Rogers and wife Melissa; two daughters, Eve Rogers Starnes and husband Jim, and Angie Beach and husband Geoff; two sisters, Pearl Lorenz and husband Ken and Sharon Rogers; three brothers, Roy Rogers and wife Elizabeth, David Rogers and wife Sandy, Larry Rogers and wife Debbie; twelve grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 26, 2019 at Cluster Springs Baptist Church beginning at 3 p.m. with Bishop David Rogers officiating. A time of visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Committal services will follow in Cluster Springs Cemetery.
