James Lorenz

James Ray Lorenz, age 61, passed away Wednesday, May 12, 2021 in Miramar Beach, Florida. He was born at Eglin Airforce Base August 8, 1959 to Kenneth and Martha "Pearl" Rogers Lorenz.  James served his country faithfully in the United States Air Force. He was employed with the Walton County Sheriff's Office before retiring after 30 years of service. He was Pentecostal by faith and a member of First Assembly of God in DeFuniak Springs, Florida where he served in various positions for more than 30 years. 

He is preceded in death by his wife, Donna Lorenz.

James is survived by his parents; his wife, Cindy Lorenz; three daughters, Dena Bryan (Eric), Hailey Kinsey, and Arabella Lorenz; two sons, Kenneth Lorenz (Krystalyn), and Hunter Kinsey; one brother, Donnie Lorenz; two sisters, Teresa Williamson (Jim), Kay Ammons (Larry); three grandchildren, Luke Bryan, Alysa Bryan, and Lacie Lorenz.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, May 16, 2021, beginning at 1 p.m. at  First Assembly of God of DeFuniak Springs with Reverend Russell Pettis, Reverend Eric Bryan, and Reverend Kenny Lorenz officiating. A time of visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.  Committal services will follow at Gum Creek Cemetery with military honors provided by the  United States Air Force.
