James Arthur Bishop

James “Arthur” Bishop, age 38, of DeFuniak Springs, Florida passed away Monday, January 27, 2020.  He attended Freeport High School in his youth and was presently employed with Frank’s Cash and Carry.  Arthur loved taking his two little girls swimming at Vortex Springs in Ponce de Leon.  Fishing and watching Florida Gator football were two of his favorite pastimes.  He always looked forward to spending time with his family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his Grandpa Roy Bishop, grandmother Linda Gail Crockett, grandfather Ted Ray, grandmother Belle Creel, and step-father Jim Fraser.

Arthur is survived by two daughters, Madilynn and Ainsley Bishop; mother, Charmagne Fraser; father, Arthur Lee Ray; and sister, Brandi Jones; half-sister, Athena Glisson; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A celebration of life will be held Sunday, February 2, 2020, 787 Smith Road, DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32433 beginning at 1:00 p.m.
