Iris Orean (Holley) Harding

Iris Orean Holley Harding, age 88, of DeFuniak Springs, Florida passed away Saturday, May 20, 2023 at her residence.  She was born June 12, 1934, in Walton County, Florida to Riley Holley and Edna Hurley.  Iris was well known for her love to help others.  She spent much of her time studying scripture.  Iris was a gifted quilter and a member of the Chautauqua Quilters Guild for many years.

Iris is preceded in death by her loving husband, Jerry Lathan Harding; parents, Riley and Edna Holley; and one brother, William Alex Holley.

Iris is survived by one daughter, Roma L. Baker (Ralph Tidwell); two sons, Larry M. Harding and Dale K. Harding (Linda Harding); one brother, Charles Holley; six grandchildren, Nichole R. Webb, Christopher D. Chapman, Jennifer L. Howard, Christina Harding, Kiley Harding and Jared Harding; twelve great grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren, as well as numerous other family and friends.

A time of visitation will be held Friday, May 26, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Davis-Watkins Funeral Home, 1474 State Highway 83 North, DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32433.  Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 27, 2023 beginning at 10:00 a.m. at Leonia Baptist Church, 1124 Gillman Road, Westville, Florida 32464, with Rodd Jones officiating. Committal services will follow at Caney Creek Cemetery.
