Ilene "Cherry" Veleta Brown

Ilene Veleta Brown, 69, born March 27, 1955 in St. James, Jamaica, to Egbert and Rintella Brown, went home to be with the Lord February 15, 2025.

She was preceded in death by both parents; and siblings, Bobsy Brown, Jocelyn Brown, Doctor Brown and Wilton Brown.

Ilene is survived by former partner, Dalvin Williams, Sr.; loving son, Dalvin Williams, Jr. and daughter-in-law, Diana (Crestview, FL); siblings, Pearline Brown, Lurline Brown, and Trevor Brown (Jamaica); grandchildren, Kamala (Jamaica), Illyana (Crestview), and Dalvin, III (Crestview); and great granddaughter, Zaniyah (Jamaica); as well as, many special in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends from all over the globe. 

Ilene enjoyed cooking up a storm for everyone; even if you weren't hungry, as soon as you walked through the door and smelled the pot, you were hungry. She also enjoyed gardening and helping anyone in need.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 15, 2025, at Davis Watkins Funeral Home, 113 Racetrack Road, Fort Walton Beach, Florida, 32547 beginning at 4:00 p.m. A time of visitation will be held one hour prior.
