Hilton Royce Adkison

Hilton Royce Adkison, age 76, passed away Friday, September 19, 2025, at his residence.  He was born June 19, 1949, in Florala, Alabama to Thomas Edmond Adkison and Dorothy Jean Mitchell. After graduating high school, Royce proudly served in the United States Navy where he later retired.  In his spare time, Royce loved gardening and spending time with his beloved Doberman pinschers.  

He is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Dorothy Adkison.

Royce is survived by several loving cousins and special friends.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 24, 2025, in the chapel of Davis-Watkins Funeral Home at 1474 State Highway 83 North in DeFuniak Springs, Florida  beginning at 3:00 p.m. with Minister Joel Davis officiating. A time of visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Committal will follow at New Ponce de Leon Cemetery. Military honors will be provided by the United States Navy.
