Herbert Shelton Junger, age 80, of Crestview, FL., went to be with the Lord on March 22, 2025. He went peacefully surrounded by his family.
Shelton was born on June 21, 1944, on Eglin Air Force Base in Ft. Walton Beach, Florida to Henry Frank Junger and Eloise Weekley Junger.
Shelton was preceded in death by his son Kenneth Sheldon Junger; mother, Eloise Weekley Crowder, and stepfather Kennth Crowder; brothers, Gerald Frank Junger, Stanley Vonn Junger, and Lloyd Dean Junger, granddaughter, Morgan Pritchard Oller and nephew, Jerry Junger.
Shelton was a member of Victory Baptist Church in Crestview, FL., and a Plumber/Pipefitter with the Local 630 Union out of West Palm Beach, FL. He was also in the United States Marine Corps.
Shelton is survived by his wife, Angelia Marie Junger of Crestview, FL.; daughters, Monica L. Weeks (Paul) of Destin, FL., Mitze M. Hester (Jim) of Destin FL.; son, Travis J. Junger (Amy) of Niceville, FL.; sister, S. Jeanine Lynch (Thomas) of Lawrenceville, GA.; sister-in-law, Cinda Junger of Enterprise, AL.; grandchildren, Aaron Weeks (Kristina), Kathryn Pace, Trey Weeks (Heather), Nicholas Junger (Haydyn), Lauren Moe (Dalton), Hailey Pritchard, and Noah Junger; and 10 great grandchildren. He also leaves behind many other family members and friends that loved him very much.
We, as a family, would be honored for you to join us for Visitation on Thursday March 27, 2025 at 1:00 p.m., followed by a celebration of his life at 2:30 p.m., on Thursday, March 27, 2025, at Davis Watkins Funeral Home at 113 Northeast Racetrack Road, Fort Walton Beach, FL., with Brother Lev Humphries and Brother Joe Sollars officiating. A graveside service will follow at Jesse Rogers Memorial Cemetery at 221 E Miracle Strip Pkwy, Mary Esther, Florida.
Pallbearers will be Travis Junger, Scott Junger, Steve Junger, Jason Junger, Aaron Weeks, Nicholas Junger, and Noah Junger.
