Harry Alexander Brown was born on January 17, 1941, in Jefferson County, West Virginia, to the late John Thomas Franklin Brown and Arianna Rebecca (Fox) Brown. On May 8, 2026, Harry peacefully answered the call to eternal rest.
Harry attended Eagle Avenue Elementary School and graduated from Page Jackson High School in Charles Town, West Virginia. He was a proud alumnus who remained active in the Page Jackson Alumni community throughout his life.
A man of strong faith, Harry’s Christian journey included fellowship with Kings Apostles Holiness Church of God, Inc., Beulah First Baptist Church, and the Institute of Biblical Studies.
Harry honorably served his country for twenty-two years in the United States Air Force, demonstrating dedication, discipline, and commitment throughout his military career.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mae Doris Brown; his parents, John Thomas Franklin Brown and Arianna Rebecca Brown; his brothers, John A. D. Brown, Alphonso Brown, and Walter W. Brown; and his sisters, Barbara King, Hortense McDougal, Patricia Page, and Althea Fancher.
Harry leaves to cherish his memory his son, Anthony W. Brown (Akierah); his granddaughters, Aleyia Stevens and Aryanna Brown; his brother, Charles H. Brown; his sisters, Alma Basemore and Arianna Keith; his sisters-in-law, Patricia Brown and Esther Brown; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
Harry touched many lives through his kindness, wisdom, and willingness to lend a helping hand whenever it was needed. His legacy of love and service will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, May 22, 2026 beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Beulah First Baptist Church, 109 McGriff Street Northeast, Fort Walton Beach, Florida. The family will receive friends an hour prior, beginning at 12:00 p.m. Burial will immediately follow at Beal Memorial Cemetery with full Air Force military honors.
