Harmon Luther Knight was born on August 20, 1923 in Perry, Georgia. He passed away March 12, 2021 at his longtime home in Ft. Walton Beach, FL at the age of 97. He is survived by 3 children, 8 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his son, Harmon Jr.; his brother, Jack and his beloved wife, Wilma Kathleen.
Harmon never stopped moving and doing. He was an amazing motivator, teacher and a gentleman. He never met a stranger and would help anyone in need. Harmon served in the United States Air Force until his retirement in 1971 as a Chief Master Sergeant.
Harmon was a steady man who never raised his voice in anger. He was the family videographer, photographer, mechanic, barbeque planner and so much more than can be expressed in 200 words. Saying that Harmon will be missed doesn’t cover it.
The world is less without him in it.
A graveside service will be held at Beal Memorial Cemetery, 316 NW Beal Parkway, Ft. Walton Beach, FL 32548, May 15, 2021 starting at 10:00 a.m. Full honors will be presented by the United States Air Force.
