Gwen Lee Jenkins

Gwen Lee Jenkins, 53, of Fort Walton Beach, passed away on Saturday, May 9, 2026, in Fort Walton Beach.

Born on August 22, 1972, Gwen was a lifelong resident of Fort Walton Beach. She graduated from Choctawhatchee High School, earned an Associate of Science degree from Pensacola State College, and a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of West Florida. On March 24, 2019, she married Robert Wade Jenkins at St. Andrews By The Sea Church.

Her greatest joy and proudest achievement was being a mother. She adored her children and poured her heart into raising them. As a behavioral health nurse, Gwen went above and beyond for her patients every single day. A woman of deep faith, she lived with compassion, kindness, and purpose.

Gwen loved gardening, all things Disney, and attending concerts by KC and the Sunshine Band. She had a special place in her heart for New Kids on the Block—she even named her beloved puppy Donnie after Donnie Wahlberg. She surprised everyone with her wonderful sense of humor, loved singing impromptu songs around the house, and will always be remembered for the countless people she helped. To know her was to love her.

Gwen is survived by her husband, Robert Wade Jenkins of Fort Walton Beach; mother-in-law, Barbara C. Jenkins; brother-in-law, William B. Jenkins; children, Addison Leigh Hansen and her husband, Jacob Chandler Hansen, Wesley Andrew Greene II, and Abigail Noelle Greene; mother, Royan Marler Gower; siblings, Luan Morgan and Georgia Cabirac; and nieces, Rachel Hipps, Natasha Buford, and Rochelle Cabirac. She was preceded in death by her father, Fred Gower.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Davis- Watkins Funeral Home, 113 Racetrack Road, N.E., Fort Walton Beach, Florida 32547. The family will receive friends an hour prior starting at 12:00pm.
