Gladys Marie Sapp

Gladys Marie Sapp, age 78, of Ponce de Leon, Florida, passed away peacefully on March 7, 2026, surrounded by loved ones. She was born July 9, 1947, in Holmes County, Florida, to the late Wiley Goddin and Bessie Morrison. In her spare time, Gladys enjoyed crafting and working in her yard.  She loved being at home and spending time with the family she dearly loved.

She is preceded in death by one son, Lonnie Sapp.

Gladys is survived by two daughters, Vicky Thomas (Phillip) and Becky Murphy; five grandchildren, Katie Hayes (Matthew), Kandice Cole (Vince), Kristan Martin (Jarett), Ethan Donaldson, and Madison Donaldson; six great grandchildren; two siblings, Cotis Goddin and Joyce Thorne (Michael); and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 11, 2026, in the chapel of Davis-Watkins Funeral Home, 1474 State Highway 83 North, DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32433 beginning at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Larry McGowan officiating. A time of visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Committal will follow at Old Mt. Zion cemetery.
