Geraldine “Dean” Jeans, age 75, of Youngstown, Florida, formerly of Canton, Georgia, passed away peacefully at 6:00 p.m. April 14, 2026, at the home of her son, Milam, surrounded by love. Dean was born April 18, 1950, in Canton, Georgia, to the late Arthur and Mary Lou Holder. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose kindness and strength touched everyone who knew her. Dean found happiness in life’s simple pleasures. She loved gardening, camping, fishing, and most of all spending time with her grandchildren and family, who were the center of her world.
She is survived by her loving children and stepchildren, Terry Jeans, Tony Jeans and his spouse Kim, Milam Jeans and his spouse Gwen, Aaron Jeans, and her daughter, Kim Brandt and her husband Craig. She was a proud and cherished grandmother to Mandy Koch, Amber Smith, Layla Austin, Tiffany Fields, Tiffany Wright, Josh Jeans, Jake Jeans, Trey Byers, Tori Byers, Olivia Folta, Mason Jeans, Bryson Jeans, William Jeans, Lujack Jeans, Avery Jeans, Taylor Young, Corey Bryant, and Conner Jeans. She also leaves behind special extended family members Becky and Randy Bailey, along with 14 great-grandchildren, each of whom brought her tremendous joy. Dean is also survived by her sister, Barbara Thomason, and her husband Phil.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Vernon Ray Jeans; her parents, Arthur and Mary Lou Holder; her daughter, Jennie Byers; her stepson, Phillip Jeans; her brothers, John A., Joe, Charles, and Frank Holder; and her sisters, Mae Jarrett and Louise Roper.
A celebration of life will be held later, to be announced by the family.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.
