Gerald James Cochrane

Gerald James Cochrane, known lovingly as “Gerry”, 57, of Niceville, Florida, passed away peacefully on July 18, 2026.

Born on June 8, 1969, in Norwood, Massachusetts, Gerald lived a life marked by the connections he made and the love he shared with family and friends. He was known for his warmth, gentle spirit, and the joy he brought to those around him. He will be remembered for the lasting impact he had on all who were fortunate enough to know him.

Gerald was preceded in death by his father, Byron Harris Cochrane, Jr., and his sister, Deborah Cochrane.

He is survived by his mother, Laurance Ann Mahan Cochrane; his brother, Byron Harris Cochrane, III; and his nephew, Jacob Cochrane. He also leaves behind extended family members, family friends and all whose lives were enriched by his presence.

Gerald’s memory will forever be cherished by those who knew and loved him. While his passing leaves an immeasurable void, his spirit will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.

A celebration of Gerry’s life will be held at Christ the King Episcopal Church at 480 N County Hwy 393 in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida on Monday, August 3, 2026 at 11:00 a.m.
