Freddy Lee Doss

Freddy Lee Doss, age 70, of Mossy Head, Florida, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, October 29, 2023. He was born November 7, 1952, in Cullman, Alabama to the late Fred Doss and Theolene Camp Hill. 

Freddy was one of a kind. He proudly served his country for ten years in the United States Air Force before becoming a small business owner for over twenty-five years.

He married the love of his life, Debbie Doss, on December 27, 1973, in Round Up, Montana.

His main hobbies were dirt track racing, and doing anything he could to support his family.

He loved his son, daughter and grandchildren like nobody’s business. He also loved and looked so forward to Walton County High School football, where he spent his Friday nights supporting his son, Hoss Doss #54; never missing a game!

Freddy was preceded in death by his wife; and his parents.

He is survived by his son, Hoss Doss of Mossy Head, Florida; daughter, Shannan and husband, Michael Hobbs of Hahira, Georgia; grandchildren, Ryan and Paige Hobbs of Hahira, Georgia; and sister, Barbara Mecomber of Huntsville, Alabama.

Memorial services will be held at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, November 2, 2023, at Davis-Watkins Funeral Home, 1474 State Highway 83 North, DeFuniak Springs, Florida. A time of visitation will begin thirty minutes prior to the service.
